Elegant Porch

This porch was originally a screened porch that had fallen into disrepair. We removed the original columns that held up the roof, built a new support structure and created a three-season porch that can be used for more during the year. A ceiling fan and casement windows that fully open keep it cool in the summer while insulated window panels hold in the heat as the weather cools down. This space added more usable square footage to their home and created the perfect spot to curl up with a good book.

The porch was part of the Elegant Kitchen project.
