Updating an Historic Home: Bathrooms
From the outside, this was an attractive older home in a sought-after Belmont neighborhood. On the inside, it was difficult to image that this home had been updated since it was originally built in the 1890s. We redesigned most of the home including the kitchen, all of the bathrooms (even adding a bathroom on the first floor), and created a new second-floor laundry room.
On the third floor we created a full primary suite including a bedroom, den, two walk-in closets and a stunning bathroom featuring a large shower and soaking tub.
Other ‘hidden’ improvements to the home included a new hydro-air HVAC system as well as all new plumbing, wiring and windows. In the end, the homeowners have an historic home modernized for their growing family.
