AWARD WINNING Deck & Patio Oasis

Following extensive remodeling, the homeowners’ renovated backyard is the perfect place to relax or spend time with friends and family. The new deck features naturally weathered red cedar, a pergola shaded dining area, and a barbecue just a few steps away. This upper gathering area has plenty of seating on a low stone wall surrounding the barbecue, where friends can share one of their hosts’ home brews while the grill sizzles. A stone staircase winds its way down to a larger patio featuring a gas fire pit and spacious seating. Extensive plantings keep the whole backyard in bloom – with special thanks to the homeowners’ beehives!

This project received the Gold Award for Best Residential Landscape at the 2023 PRO Remodeling Awards. In addition, it received a 2023 PRISM award for excellence for “Best Design for Outdoor Living” from the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston.
